Leukemia Office: Rm 4217, Cancer Inc.

Good Afternoon. How are you?
You weren’t kept waiting too long were you? Do you need anything a drink? Water? Coffee?

<Cancer Secretary, Did you take care of these nice people out there? Ok, thank you! Hold my calls for a while please!>

She’s fitting in so well here, I’m glad I hired her. Things have gotten MUCH better around these parts. Please have a seat.

Hold on, I’ll be right with you. Just gotta sign this thing….

Thanks for stopping by. It’s great to see you! How was parking? I know it can get kind of crazy around this time of day in Uptown. Oh you like this picture on my desk? Yes this is my stunningly beautiful girlfriend Liana and her puppy Ruby. I took this while they cuddled on my floor after they reunited from a long weekend apart. It’s my favorite picture, actually. And no, most offices on this floor do not have desk lamps or receiving areas, these are all my doing. I decided that I wouldn’t be productive enough working in the bed, even as adjustable as it is. Thanks for asking!

So let’s get down to it. How can I help you? Ah, this is a good will visit, wonderful! Well I absolutely appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to swing by my office. I’m always looking to reach out in the community by fostering new contacts and soldering up the old ones. You know I’d love to offer you a glass of scotch, but unfortunately my office is temporarily dry. Perhaps we’ll get together like this in a less formal setting in the very near future, would you like that? Me too!

So things have been good with you and yours, eh? Business seems to be going well, you guys look great and I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve seen in the trades and on the net. As you can see things here are also on the up and up. Yes we’ve had a few (very public) setbacks lately but we are working very hard to get back to where we started and then growth from there is limitless! We’ve got some VERY exciting things on our 2015 schedule that we can’t wait to share with the world, in fact you are getting a sneak peak right now! The content we’ve been providing has had MASSIVE feedback already and we’re gearing up for some compound growth. We’re up to our necks in administrative work but we’re still finding a ton of time to pump out blog posts, photoshops, anecdotes and human interest journal entries (people have really been eating these up). We’ve built ourselves into a lean and productive organization here in just about seven days and we don’t see ourselves slowing down anytime soon!

As with any start up, of course, we’re still working on getting our investment capital lined up. Feel free to paw through our business plan here and consider investing. You won’t be disappointed!

Oops, hear that buzzing? That mean’s it’s either time to check my vitals, pee in a jug or there is air in my IV tube. Either way I think this is a good time to break the huddle for the day. I’ll have my secretary shoot you a detailed email with what we’ve discussed and some bullet points for the future. It was great spending time with you and I truly hope you have a wonderful evening.

Thanks for stopping by, come back soon!

  1. Hey – I found your blog from the pt board where I have been a many year avid reader but not much of a contributor. Anyway, I wanted to wish you luck. I spent some time on the isolation ward at Vanderbilt while I was getting my stem cell transplant in November . You’ve got a great attitude, and that is a huge part of getting through it. (cheesy as it sounds, it is true). If there is anything I can do for you from here in Nashville, drop me a note on Facebook.
